Arnold Scream fan films maybe going offline..

Postby Ghostface » Mon Dec 07, 2009 10:49 pm

Fan Films could be available to watch ONLY on DVD......
For the last 3 months or so one of my Arnold Scream 4 clips on YouTube had a notice on it for having a track owned by Sony Music,No action was required on my part and an ad pops up due to this, this was fine, not a problem, perfectly understandable.. then over the last few days Arnold Scream 1 had a clip marked too, same again,no action required, and now Arnold Scream 3+5 have 1 clip marked too,and with the result have been limited to watch in countries: Czech Republic, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, United Kingdom. This is also the reason for Arnold Scream 2 vanishing a good few months back and its NOT GOOD to have these notices in my opinion even if no bans in some countries arent there. So upon watching films they are not all there for these people for the films 3+5.. With this in mind and myself not wanting my YT account more littered with these notices i may take the films offline and just have the trailers, the only the way the films are available to watch in full is by watching on a DVD.. They are still online at present time but may be taken off anytime soon as i dont want or need any trouble off corporations regarding copyright, these fan films are ALL from the very start in 1999 NON PROFIT films made in our own time among friends in which NO money is made from them, they are now priced here on the site but ONLY (as explained on the DVDs info page) for the costs of making them,as in Discs,Printing,Postage etc.. Even if we wanted to charge for them like a normal film nobody would pay for our crappy acting anyway.According to the latest insight via my YT account the fan films do very well for views in the USA which is ok for viewers as its not on the list above, but i prefer to have a cleaner YT account and would rather delete them and not worry.
IF deleted then another notice will appear here to inform people.. im not happy about doing it but i would feel better logging into YT once done.Sorry.. Ghostface.

A new web domain has been bought though and if i can get it how i like then all films MAY be watchable there without YT hosting

K soooo, are you saying Youtube is running ads on your videos and making money off them? Kinda confused, lol.

im saying some clips have ads which is fine, but other clips for some reason have been stopped working in the listed countries,so if your USA then its ok,but in the uk and others mentioned they wont play, which is daft because they are made in the uk and mainly aimed at the UK and USA.. just that the UK wont be seeing all clips so its pointless having full films up when you cant watch them all.

Very true. But yeah, if you can find another server to play your videos, might as well.

i have a new site in slow progress at the minute but i need webspace to host them myself.. will see what happens.. plus i don't need major companies doing me for copyright, not good, especially as there are other Scream clips with the Scream scores used in them.

Arnold funny stuff mate! Seen your latest on you tube.
Where do you get your masks for your film??? Are they original fun-worlds??
Reason I ask I have been all over the web and have spent alot of hard earned cash and have these thin cheap things!! I figure you would know . A place in the usa would be great or a company that will ship to the states . I am shocked how hard it is to find a nice mask!!
