Anyone a Chucky Fan?

Theres been word that Don Mancini (Creator or Chucky) is writing a new Script for a remake of the original "Child's Play" and said to make it even more terrifying.

Even though the effects weren't all as good back in the 80's, Child's play sure beat the hell out of any animated movie these days by using real props that really did frighten us. The movie was so terrifying that it got banned in certain countries was also due to imitation of kids, but said to be unbanned in some places.

Child's Play 1 - Amazingly Brilliant
Child's Play 2 - Rubbish
Child's Play 3 - good to watch but not a horror, more of an action/comedy/thriller
Bride of Chucky - Crap
Seed of Chucky - dont even get me started..

too bad if they are gonna make a remake, i don't get why. it was already perfect as it is. they always think the effects from today are gonna make it so much better but most of the time it makes it too much and less scary. The only remake i really loved so far was Amytiville Horror.

just gatherd some info from a bunch of sites about the re-make of this child's play
theres word that Don Mancini will be part of the crew (maybe not directing) he directed seed of chucky which in my opinion was an awful film but he wrote he first child's play, so hopfully we'l get a good director!

also tiffany is ment to appear in the film but only as a cameo and not as a doll, because apparntly she's a big part of chuckys life when he was a human.

Updated news according to wikipedia

On January 17, 2010, Horrorbid.com reported that Universal has given the green light for the remake and that pre-production has already begun. The remake is scheduled for a release sometime in 2010 or 2011.
