Car attack

Postby Ivan » Wed Apr 29, 2009 10:23 pm

This is one of my favorite scenes from the whole trilogy, but I to this day cannot understand why the second detective stands up and stays in front of the car. As if he was yelling "Come on Mickey, you can hit me now." He should have quickly moved to a side.

Otherwise it's a great scene. You can tell that the killer is really angry and acts very professionally and quickly. I love how he tries to break the glass with the detective, realizes that it won't break and throws him away, pissed-off.

Wonder why it was removed from YouTube.

It's a great scene yes, but the first couple of times you watch it, it's like "ohh is he gonna wake?" but after a few years of watching the movie and that scene just doesnt get to me anymore, still a classic scene for people who hav'nt seen the movie.

This scene and many others like it in the trilogy are classic "Scary" scenes, but after anything you watch once you know whats coming the next time, so they loose their luster, but still remain as good memories for when you first see the films. I look forward to more of these scenes in Scream 4 i hope. KComm1

Somewhere I read that this should be a reference to classic horror movies, in which the killer is thought to be dead and then, all of a sudden, disappears to nowhere.

I'm sure he probably jumped over the car then over the wall, and went around, seeing as that was the only way when the girls stopped looking.

Yeah, I always got a "Halloween" vibe from it, when Michael Myers just appears out of nowhere, as it's Kevin's favourite film it wouldn't surprise me if he was referencing Halloween there.

It's a classic scene of the killer disappearing and re-appearing sometime later. I've seen it in a lot of movies. I really enjoyed seeing it with Ghost Face.

It's a classic scene not knowing if they are going to make it. Like many here I've watched it many times however for me it doesn't get old.
