I always thought the opening scene was quite strange. All those people cheering at "Casey" being murdered even though it actually happened just over a year ago, was that a play on America's "Desensitized" youth or something?

could have been.. they just saw it as a film though didn't they! unlike the girl in the queue for snacks,, "All these kids got killed a couple of years ago in California"

That's true yeah, even if it wasn't based on a true story I'd probably still be questioning the minds of the people cheering :?
