Opening Scene

Postby ScreamKing » Wed Oct 29, 2008 5:02 am

It took me a while to realize how good the opening scene of Scream 2 really is. When Jada is being stabbed to death, everyone else is playing around too. Then, when people take notice to what's going on, they think nothing other than it being a publicity stunt. You hear someone yell, "Kill her!" cheering on ghostface.

It's when she drags herself up on the stage and screams bloody murder -- when people realize that she was actually being stabbed. It's just a terrific scene and to me, kinda depressing, lol. Like poor girl, she's being killed and people laugh and cheer. It's just interesting, and goes to show what you watch, can really happen. I just love this scene.
Gale: Jesus, the camera! Hurry!
Kenny: My name isn't Jesus.

Quite a tense scene

I was talking about Gails scene lol I've noticed the thread has sort of turned into one about that scene. Both scenes are great though no doubt about it.

its pretty shocking IMO to see what's happening. I used to think it was funny when it came out but now I look at it and I cant help being a little overwhelmed by the scene. pretty heavy. regarding the soundproof walls and gale.... one of the best scenes in the whole trilogy. perfection.

well to be honest, I think she's a bitch I hated her from the very first frame.... not just because she's jada pinkett, but her character was so very stupid - she deserved to die lol I love to say that knowing that Im joking and that I can sort of afford to make such a claim

The opening scene is very powerful. I think ultimately it shows how some people can take movies too far. That's the message I got out of it.

i think the opening scene is beautiful, in a artistic way, the music, the emotions, the rush you get it adds up perfectly
i like trains ._.
