I'm outside look in his window. Does that work? ha ha Just kidding of course. People can over hype anything for sure. Some may even feel that way after it's announced. Overall I thing we will be happy with whatever it is.

A time ago, everybody thought the fourth or fifth installment of the Scream franchise might be different from the original trilogy. We allways were afraid of "the next generation", or stories who weren't linked to Woodsboro, Sidney, Gale or Dewey. People talked too much when a MTV series was announced. "This TV series will destroy the original trilogy". Now a novel has been written with a plot which is very similar to the Gale's fictional books and EVERYBODY IS HAPPY WITH THAT. I can't understand it. Mr Torbert has noticed he can't continue earning money with Ghostface because there is not going to be Scream 5 and 6 at the moment, and he has decided to continue with this by his own way. People who were very disappointed with the future of the franchise or the MTV series is now very happy with the novel and has already preordered the book. That's not serious...

Ghostface is his own persona. and just so your aware. The Face Of Fear was started before scream 4 was ever being made. Ghostface is profitable regardless of wither or not theres a scream 5. and RJ's book will be fantastic.

I think Torbert is an opportunist, and fans who purchase the book are hypocrites.
He created the mask but not the character. The character, THE KILLER film lover, was created by Williamson and Craven.

Well Mr. Turnerlane seems you are missing a few details. One being that IAmGhostFace pointed out that this project began in 2009. That is before the filming of SCREAM 4. As for the claim that Mr. Torbert's book being similar to the plot of Gale's book from SCREAM I disagree. I don't see the similarities at all. Gale's book is based on the Woodsboro Murders. Also to address that you claim Mr. Torbert can't make money off of Ghostface is a ridiculous claim. Ghostface is "The Icon of Halloween. You don't get that title because you are a low seller. So if he was all about money he could certainly make more with masks and other things I'm sure. Everyone is entitled to there own opinion of course and I respect that. I just disagree with your claims about the book respectfully.

Yes, an independent story about Ghostface without Sidney, Gale or Dewey, like Gale Weathers last novels (Clock of the Doom... and others). I think it's opportunistic, now and even in 2009. If Wes Craven had not chosen that mask for his movie ... Nobody would have bought the famous article.

Scream helped A LOT. Sales were not the same before the movies. Torbert didn´t create the character, he created the image. Everyone criticizing Kruger for being the author of Scream 3 and Scream 4 (parts) but Torbert is a specialist (irony). Is he the new Williamson? I think not.
