Randy's dead and gone, Kevin confirmed it a while ago. He's just getting pumped because he loved playing Randy and there's a new Scream being released.

It's basicaly the point of the films, killing off good characters to shock you as in every other horror film the good characters survive, which we did not see the supirse coming in Scream 2

I enjoyed the character of Randy a lot but he's dead and gone. I think he's just showing his support for the movie.
