The 13 Most Iconic Villains in Horror History

Postby stuandbilly » Sat Jun 05, 2010 4:28 am

So, Ghost-face is ranked number 9 on yahoo's list of most iconic villians in horror history.

Thats Great, but the comments on it are terrible. just people saying its "not Scary".

They must also think superbad is the funniest movie ever made.

One even compared the series to the likes of I know what you did last summer and urban legend. The kind of movies scream would make fun of had they not been made after the fact.

Just...no. Crappy horrible series. Not iconic unless you consider the utter watering-down of "horror" movies to be iconic. In which case this does belong on the list: Most Predictable and Unimaginative Horror Icons.
Scream was not scary at all

Thoughts? :ugeek:

For people who don't realize what horror is, there probably the type to be into stuff such as Paranormal activity, Poltergise and other ghost films such as them, mainly because they seem more real to them then a mental serial killer.

Maybe those are the same people who thought Saw was scary and doesn't get that with each new Saw movie with the same plotline beat to death.

It also makes a difference if the person posting the list doesn't interject their own opinion. If I had done it Ghost Face would have been higher on the list. Just saying...

Lol reading some of those comments makes me want to dress up as ghostface and... you know. Lol kidding but I really hope Scream 4 blows everyone away and shuts people up.
Gale: Jesus, the camera! Hurry!
Kenny: My name isn't Jesus.

After having re-makes the past 10 years it shouldn't be hard to blowing the audience away. At this point they are begging for some something original.

i hardly think that in 10-20 years time people will still look back fondly on jigsaw or the saw franchise. at best they are a yearly Halloween money grab. It has been 14 years since the first scream film and people still love them and the enigma that is ghost-face, he is a modern horror staple and one of the most if not the definitive Halloween costume of the 90s to now. :D

I agree 100% with everything you said. Ghostface over Jigsaw anyday.

WOW! They had Chucky ahead of Ghostface!? I still think Chucky wasn't even that scary at all.. the thought of a "play doll" going around and killing everything, wouldn't give me any nightmares at all.
