The bathroom stall walls aren't that thick so the knife could easily go straight through on the first stab.

I wouldn't be able to do that, i'd need more arm room so i can stab the wall harder.

It would take some force but it could be done. Got to love how the magic of the movies make it look so easy.

The knife is also a decked out hunter knife so im sure it's more sharp then usual knives.

^ Yeah that as well, plus a lot force. If anything I wonder how Mickey got it through his head first time lol unless he just peeked over the stall before he stabbed him.

Mickey was going on the adrenaline of the kill. So the force it took to stab through the wall to kill Phil is not that hard to believe. Remember the voices we heard? That was probably part of the plan to draw Phil to lean his head in to the stall wall making it easier.

In reality i think it was just purely the Movie Magic! Depends on how thick a toilet stall divider is in real life i suppose, most would probably stop the knife.. or only partly through..

Movie Magic and shear luck that even if the knife goes all the way through that it hits Phil where it did. Like you said it depends on how thick the stall walls are and probably what it's made of as well.

My thinking was that it was Mickey's first kill (as far as we know), so he was running on adrenaline, which gave him the extra strength to get the knife through on the first shot.

Some of those walls are made on the cheep, so who knows?

Or like others have said, it could just be movie magic.

I would say a little of all the above to make a great first kill. Made it entertaining for the fans.
