(If any) What films have you seen because of Scream?

Postby Devils_Reject » Fri Jan 02, 2009 8:09 pm

What I basically mean is that what films have you seen/bought because they're mentioned or watched during the Scream Trilogy? I remember watching this for the first time and seeing clips of Halloween and thinking it was awesome and eventually watched it and became an instant fan. I've recently bought Terror Train mainly because I've heard it's pretty good and because it's spoken about in Scream briefly and in the special features a few members of the crew seem to love it, as well with The Fog. I've been meaning to get Prom Night which is apparently one of Randy's favourites but I'm hesitant about buying it.
EDIT: Another thing I meant to add is, another reason I've bought and seen some of these films because Scream has credited them as influences.

Anyone else?

Recently, Basic Instinct. It was pretty good.
Gale: Jesus, the camera! Hurry!
Kenny: My name isn't Jesus.

I haven't seen it yet but I bought "Terror Train" they mention it a couple of times in Scream and in one of the special features a fair amount of the cast crew seem to enjoy it, also some people call it "Halloween on a train" and with Jamie Lee Curtis starring it increased my interest.

'A Nightmare on Elm Street' considering I wasn't even born when this movie came out, so I was probably about 3 or 4 when I first watched.

Yeah Prom Night sucks. Even the remake is horrible. Halloween is good for the cheesy 80's horror lol.

I wanna see Town that Dreaded Sundown. Dewey mentions it towards the end of the movie.
