Cool, with me I heard about it through word of mouth and probably about 6-7 years ago Scream 2 was on T.V one night and my parents recorded it and I managed to watch it and thought it was AMAZING a couple of months later I saw Scream 3 which I also enjoyed and all I had left to watch was the first one which my uncle had and I managed to get hold of it which was probably a year or 2 later and that one blew me away and was my instant favourite. I didn't manage to get the trilogy box set until a fews later.

I remember a mate telling me to watch it years ago, it was when it first came out on video to rent, he said to beware of the phone ringing after the film finishes.. i wondered what he was on about, so a while afterwards i watched it and liked it alot, i wanted a mask and costume but didn't know where to look so i forgot about it for a while, then Scream 2 was advertised and i went to see it at the cinema, i loved it, it was the first Scream film i had seen at the cinema, then as a Scream 3 was announced as coming i knew i had to try and get a costume because i didn't think there would be a third film, so i was excited.. with this Scream 3 news, "Arnold Scream" was born and at that time it was just called "Scream Filming" we started doing our own random kill scenes until Scream 3 finally arrived, it was then that we went to Showcase Cinemas and watched it! With our killer from filming in the costume, i myself also went in the costume on another occasion.. i even went to see "Scary Movie" in it too, after Scream 3 had gone from cinemas we carried on filming every now and again.

You know, I really can't remember exactly when. This happens as you get older, hahaha! I think it was my kids who got me into it and around that time also was when "I know what you did last summer" came out (same writer, Kevin Williamson). I remember renting the movies and watching them all in a row, a marathon teen slasher weekend! It had to be a couple years after the first Scream, I'm thinking, because around that time is when my kids were old enough to go to the movies by themselves in a group, maybe 10 or 12 years old.

And I could never remember Neve Campbell's name. You would think it's pretty different, so it should have stuck in my head, but I only remembered it was different, hahaha! Duh. My daughter was getting annoyed with me asking "What's her name again?" and her telling me again and again. But I was always impressed with Neve's performance, much more so than Jamie Lee Curtis in the Halloween films. In fact, it wasn't long ago that Neve's name finally did stick (hallelujah) and now I'm a fan of her as well as Scream.

For me I remember catching the trailer on TV as well as the theater trailer for SCREAM. When I saw Wes Craven was attached to the film I just had to see it as I'm a big fan of Wes. Plus the mask intrigued me. I remember the wait to first see it on Dec 20th, 1996 seem to take forever. When the day finally came though my best friend and I was the first in line. I'll never forget my first experience.
