Third Killer?

Could there be a third killer at the time of the Woodsboro murders? Evidence suggest's possibly.
1) Sidney is attacked in the bathroom by Ghostface who fails to kill her, then goes on to kill Himbry. Stu is outside and I'm sure people would notice if Billy went missing for even a second.
2) When Tatum and Sid are done talking, they walk off and we see Ghostface watching them in the bushes, in the very next scene Billy and Stu are in the video store, it would be impossible for either one of them to get back to the store that quick.
3) In conjunction with 2, Ghostface is also following Sid and Tatum around in the supermarket.
Could there be a third killer or is it just a plot hole? Could the third killer be Roman?

This is a theory which has got a lot of speculation around it. If there was a third killer snooping around, it would more than likely be Roman, but leaving Billy and Stu to have the glory themselves. But personally I think it's just Billy and Stu doing the work. Wes stated a while back that there's two killers and you can only watch a murder mystery so many times before you notice some slight errors.

Maybe I'm just looking too deep into it. :p
I kind of like the idea of their being a third killer stalking around (even if it is Roman) cause it adds to that sense of mystery.

It's time consuming, it skips to another scene right away not to think it's the same time as it probably isn't.

I think if there is a third Ghostface, it is most likely Roman. Roman probably wore the costume to spy on Sidney but wasn't there to murder anybody.

I highly doubt there was a third killer, roman wasnt thought of until Scream 3, and Wes did state there were two killers only in Scream 1, it's not all on time. When you see Ghostface spying on Sidney and Tatum at her house then skips to the video shop with Randy and Stu it's not happening at exactly the same time, it most probably skipped and it must of been one of them at least then they went to the video shop.

I think the only reason fans thought of a third killer was because of Scream 3's ending and rant from Roman, remember Ehren wrote this bit and just used Kevin's original back story as a guide from Scream 1.. so basically in SCREAM there was only ever two killers as we did genuinely see it.. the third killer motive is non existent. if Kevin had wrote all of 3 we may have had a completely and better rated third film in which 2 killers were starting off murders again, but who knows.

Well said about the third killer. I remember when this was a huge discussion among SCREAM fans. Those that did believe in a 3rd killer felt they were confirmed in SCREAM 3 during Roman's reveal. However like Tim said Krueger used what Kevin had originally written to tie it all in together. So those appearances by Ghostface in SCREAM that was a bit out of place made the Roman story a little more believable from the beginning.
