Dewey started a relationship with Gale after surviving the Killers at Windsor College but it soon breaks up due to Gales work load and her dedication,Stab 3 needed a technical advisor who knew the real people,so off to hollywood he heads.

Since Windsor College Gale has seemed to have calmed down a bit, shes not constantly with a news van and cameraman, she has also become even more well known since the windsor college murders.

After all the fun and games Cotton was put through in Scream 1 and 2 we finally see that he has managed to get on with his life in the beginning,he has a nice girlfriend and a top rated talk show, not bad Cotton.

Christine is cottons new girlfriend in hollywood after meeting cotton and seeing he isnt a killer like everyone thought at first. A step up from maureen prescott! She doesnt like Cottons STAB games and thinks hes gone Mad and wants to kill her after a phonecall from “Ghostface” with a clever Voice changer!

Angelina is another up and coming actress who beat 50,000 girls to play sid in STAB 3 as Tori Spelling didnt want to go back to play the part again! She slept with John Milton to get her part but the other cast dont know it! Tom asked her out but she refused.

Jennifer loves playing gale and after 3 films she thinks she knows what the real gale would do in situations and how she would act in real life! She is soon proved to not know everything she thinks when meeting gale but can be just as cocky!

Tyson is another hollywood actor trying his best to get Serious roles as a black actor! He insists hes not a “Randy Substitute” meaning he doesnt want to die halfway through life and is trying to be a successful actor overall!

Tom is an upcoming actor and believes that “Pop Culture” is the way forward and had a tyre blowout that gale thought was faked. He likes angelina and asked her out and got refused! He shows his anger about it at jennifers house!

Partner of Kincaid,Wallace is just as keen as Mark to find the killer and probably suspects just as many too,a bit moody with Gale and appears to have a mardy side to him,He doesnt always stick next to kincaid though.

Kincaid is a homicide detective in hollywood and knows his way around the sunrise studios. His partner is Wallace and they both know about films and trilogies with working in tinseltown for so long! He has a soft spot for sid and seems to know alot about her too!

Milton is a horror Producer and has made horror films for a long time in hollywood,he knew sids mother when she was an actress and gave her a couple of “Bit parts” in some of his films,he was well known for his parties which could sometimes get out of hand in the 70`s

We dont know alot on what went off in her past until Scream 3,A former model and actress, she worked with John Milton before moving to Woodsboro and marrying Neil, and then having affairs with Cotton and Hank Loomis. Not the "Perfect Mom"

Whilst Wandering around the studios they think they see Connie Chong! Gale gives them a signal to let them know shes seen them. LOL,Also in their scene wee see Wes as a tourist with a video camera and Lisa Beach as the tour Guide.

A Young and Upcoming director in hollywood! Roman gets really annoyed when his cast start getting killed off one by one and thinks his broken trophy is a message from the killer! Hes about to turn 30 and wants more work. He has a dark and secret past and wants to find a certain someone. he appears to hate police officers like wallace.

Bianca works for the studio and is quite clear about that when confronted by two "Gale's" She does prove helpful though with finding info out on Maureen Prescott.

Stone is a bodyguard with an impressive resume! His list includes Posh Spice, and doesnt like taking orders unless they are his own! He says things without worrying too much including a remark about Tatum to who he thinks is dewey! He pays a price from Ghostface!

This Scream 3 Score IS a VERY good find !! ALL the tracks there from Cotton and christines death to music from the set of "Stab 3" and more from Sids dream/vision of her mother at the window! No tracks missing and a good listen to those who like quiet Tracks leading to noisy exciting rythyms and exciting conclusions!

Miltons mansion Scream 3

The Bloody Mansion:
Canfield-Moreno Complex, 1923 Micheltorena Street, Silverlake.

The mansion of the climactic denouement is the Canfield-Moreno Residence and Complex, 1923 Micheltorena Street, Silverlake. Creepy place – this was also seen as the private school in the Halloween sequel H20: 20 Years Later.
It's since featured as the Rock Star mansion in TV's Rock Star: INXS.

Scream 3 Cottons Apartment block
The murder of Cotton Weary: Harper House,
1336 North harper Avenue,West Hollywood.

This time around, Cotton Weary (Liev Schreiber) is the major character to get offed at the movie's opening. He drives home along Hollywood Boulevard, to his beautiful courtyard apartment in West Hollywood. His home is the 1929 Harper House, 1336 North Harper Avenue – once home to silent stars Norma Talmadge and Roland Gilbert.

Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Officer Dewey (David Arquette) meet up to mull over old times at Le Pain Quotidien, 8607 Melrose Avenue (formerley Replay Café), at Westbourne Drive in Beverly Hills.

The house in the hills, where everyone gathers as script developments arrive via fax, is Runyon Ranch, Runyon Canyon Park in the Hollywood Hills. The house was seen also in Antonio Banderas' 1999 Crazy In Alabama.

Centred around the production of Stab 3, the film is naturally set around Hollywood, but the movie producer’s office is downtown, overlooking MacArthur Park, and the fictitious ‘Sunrise Studios’ is the CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, in the San Fernando Valley.

Funworld MaskKnb Scream mask

Well after "Scream 2" finished i myself didnt think there would be a third, but was glad when it was announced..
An end to the trilogy saw a slightly different costume from what i can make out...
First we get back to the mask,Although the same as the "Scream 2" one basically we do see changes...
The so-called "Dreadlocks" are gone...
The mask seems somewhat more symmetrical due to it being made with stronger rubber, the eyes are slightly wider, the chin downwards looks very very slightly different as you can see from looking at the 2nd and 3rd films pics too... even though they are at different angles i think myself the 2nd films mask looked sort of "Bonier" on the bottom...
Secondly as the third film reaches the end we see the full costume a bit more.. The "Tassels" appear to be rounded off on the arms instead of Jagged points like before... In Scream 1 and 2 we dont always get to see the points in detail but im pretty sure they were not rounded off before..
Also in the scene with Sarah Darling in the picture opposite, the costume "Appears" to look more Sparkly,i also noticed this slightly in the start of Scream 2.. After that it seems to go back to normal black again,I think close up it is really how it is but from a distance its just a plain dark black...

SCREAM 3 FACT:
The "Studio Tour Guide" is in fact "Lisa Beach",the casting director for all 3 films...
Overall a Cracking Costume which still scares people i see today....
Everytime we film a scene for our fan films it still gets the "Head-turner" attention it deserves... It seems to be women in particular who hate the mask with a passion because it scares them!!!

I thank "Nick Meece" for help on some of the information on here... With him being in the USA he knows some stuff that i didnt know regarding "KNB" and certain changes to the mask throughout the trilogy..plus he has had the good fortune to see a REAL Scream costume!! Lucky lad!!! THANKS Nick!!!

Some Interesting Facts for Scream 3

  • A special makeup-effects man working with "Tyson" on the set of Stab 3 is named Stan, a possible reference to legendary makeup-FX man Stan Winston.

  • The house used during the climax, where most of the killing takes place, is the same house used as a school in Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998).

  • The empty cinematographer's chair on the "Stab 3" set has the name of the actual Scream 3 (2000) cinematographer, Peter Deming.

  • Throughout the movie the actors and actresses complain about the rewrites and the three different scripts for Stab 3. These complaints actually originated with the cast of Scream 3 (2000), because of frequent rewrites and three different endings.

  • Gale mentions Jennifer's relationship with Brad Pitt. Courteney Cox's "Friends" (1994) costar Jennifer Aniston was married to Brad Pitt.

  • Set a record in its opening weekend for number of screens in the U.S.: 3,467 (later surpassed by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) with 3,762).

  • Jay and Silent Bob, the popular drug dealer characters from Kevin Smith's movies, appear as tourists visiting Sunrise Studios who spot Gail Weathers and mistake her for Connie Chung.

  • Director Cameo: [Wes Craven] can be seen dressed as a tourist walking behind Jay and Silent Bob, outside the "Stab 3" set.

  • The Song "Red Right Hand" is played in all three of the movies.

  • The horror film rules for a continued sequel as stated in the film are: (1) the killer has got be super human - stabbing or shooting won't be enough to finish him off (2) anyone, including the main character, can die (3) the past will come back to haunt you. Later in the film, Detective Mark Kincaid remarks "All I know about movie trilogies is in the third one, all bets are off".

  • Compared to its two predecessors, "Scream 3" used the least amount of artificial blood. Its tally of 10 gallons compares with 50 gallons for the first film and 30 for the second.

  • Body count: 10

  • It took $34.7 million in its opening weekend, the most any film had ever earned during the January-April period at the time, and the most Miramax had ever earned for any debuting film.

  • Wes Craven only agreed to direct the film after Miramax allowed him to helm the inspirational drama Music of the Heart (1999).

  • Roman Bridger (Scott Foley), the director of the 'movie within the movie', complains that he had to make a horror film before he was allowed to make a classic love story. Something similar happened to director Wes Craven himself: he had to agree to do Scream 3 (2000) before he was allowed to make the musical drama Music of the Heart (1999).

  • Miramax was so concerned about protecting the movie's plot secrets that no journalists were allowed to see the finished film until two days before it opened.

  • Wes Craven filmed three different endings and didn't tell the cast which one he was going to use.

  • The film's original website was a spoof website for Sunrise Studios, the fictional company making "Stab 3", complete with a production list of upcoming films and cast bios of its "Stab 3" stars.

  • It was only after English actress Emily Mortimer had been cast that the production discovered that she didn't have a permit to work in the States. Mortimer was flown to Canada where she was able to obtain the correct permit just as production got underway.

  • "Scream 3" never had a public test screening. The cast and crew only had their first chance to see the finished product at the premiere because of fears of spoilers being put out on the Internet.

  • The main house where most of the actors hang out in actually belongs to "Grease" (1978) director Randal Kleiser.

  • Ehren Kruger was frantically rewriting while filming had started.

  • Patrick Dempsey was hired the day before shooting began. He had one night to learn three big dialog-heavy scenes.

  • Neve Campbell was concurrently shooting "Drowning Mona" and 'Party of Five' during the production of "Scream 3". As her character in "Drowning Mona" had long, streaked hair, she had to wear a wig to play Sidney Prescott, one that took 2 hours to apply each morning.

  • Another idea for Jamie Kennedy to reprise his character Randy Meeks was to have him survive the stabbing in "Scream 2". His family had whisked him away to anonymity to help him recover and keep him safe. This was ultimately deemed to be too far-fetched so Randy was resurrected via a post-mortem video appearance instead.

  • Carrie Fisher helped rewrite some of her lines.

  • Liev Schreiber insisted that Cotton Weary should shrug off his white jacket in the opening teaser. This was mainly because Schreiber had been doing a lot of working out at the time and wanted to show off his pecs!

  • Scott Foley's feature film debut.

  • During the studio tour, the tour guide mention's that the next stop on the tour is the set of "Seinfeld" (1990). Patrick Warburton, who plays Steven Stone in the movie, was famous for role as David Puddy on "Seinfeld" (1990).

  • During Randy's taped message to Sydney, Dewey and Gale, he refers to the Star Wars trilogy. Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy, has an in-joke cameo in the movie as 'Bianca', the studio archive keeper, a former actress who is still mad at losing the Princess Leia role to Fisher, who ('Bianca' reveals) slept with George Lucas to get the part.

  • Lance Henriksen's director character shares the same name as the famous 17th century English writer. The author John Milton is best known for his poem "Paradise Lost." In "Paradise Lost", Satan deceives Adam and Eve to choose temptation over God's Eden. Their decision leaves them expelled from Eden, forever corrupted. "Paradise Lost" suggests the debate concerning whether it is better to be bad than good. Director John Milton in Scream 3 (2000) dupes Maureen Prescott into believing that she can become successful in Hollywood by performing sexual favors. In a similar fashion as Adam and Eve, she loses her innocence to false promises of grandeur, receiving only bit parts in Milton's films. As a result of her corruption by Milton, Maureen Prescott fully embraces promiscuity as evident by the Scream trilogy storyline.

  • Slipknot's "Wait and Bleed" is on the soundtrack. Slipknot is known for wearing masks.

  • The bathroom Sidney finds Angelina in on the set of "Stab 3" is the same bathroom used when Sidney is attacked in the original _Scream_. You can tell by position of doors and soap dispenser design.

Neve Campbell made a deal which stated that she could have been on set just for 20 days, which is also why she isn't as predominant a character as she is in the other films.

  • Throughout the film Sydney can be seen to be wearing the Greek letters around her neck that were given to her by her boyfriend Derrick, in Scream 2 (1997), shortly before he was killed.

  • Between Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 3 (2000), David Arquette and Courteney Cox (two of the five actors who feature in all the Scream movies) got married. They met on the set of the first movie, were an item whilst shooting the second and by the third they were married. Courteney added 'Arquette' to the end of her name, as can be seen in the credits. Courteney and David had to cut their honeymoon short to begin filming Scream 3 (2000).

Kate Winslet, Shannen Doherty and Charisma Carpenter were all close contenders for the part of Christine. Kelly Rutherford got the part.

The green outfit worn by Parker Posey while on set is the same one worn by Courteney Cox in the first movie. All sets for "Stab 3" were replicas of the originals since the sets were destroyed after _Scream (1996)_ wrapped.

Parker Posey plays actress Jennifer *Jolie* while Emily Mortimer portrays actress *Angelina* Tyler.

Tyson Fox says that Cotton Weary's murderer was "probaby some Stab-fan pissed off they killed Randy in 'Stab 2'." This is a reference to Scream-fanatics being so upset that Randy Meeks was killed in Scream 2 (1997), that Wes Craven got hate-emails at his official website. This was also the root to the idea of Randy surviving the events of "Scream 2" as a twist, which was later turned into a video-recording.

Alicia Silverstone was offered the role of Angelina Tyler, but turned it down.

Téa Leoni was a strong contender for the role of Jennifer Jolie and was called back several times during casting, but filmmakers ultimately decided Parker Posey was more suitable and was cast instead.

Was moved from its original December 10th 1999 release date to February 4th 2000.

SPOILER: According to the commentary by Wes Craven, Angelina Tyler (Emily Mortimer) was supposed to be the second killer, as Roman Bridger's girlfriend and ex-classmate of Sidney from _Scream_, but the producers didn't like the idea.

SPOILER: The 10 deaths in the movie go in this order: Christine, Cotton Weary, Sarah Darling, Steven Stone, Tom Prinze, Angelina Tyler, Tyson Fox, Jennifer Jolie, John Milton, Roman Bridger (Killer).

Scream 3 Goofs

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Christine is running from the killer, she locks herself in a room. The killer makes a single thin linear hole in the door with his knife, but he then twists the knife, turning it into the circle we see later.

  • Continuity: Kincaid's collar after putting on his jacket in the "What's your favorite scary movie?" scene

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the "He who smells the gas" scene. The electricity is turned off yet the fax machine still works. A UPS is plainly visible next to the fax machine; unusual, but consistent.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In Sidney's first scene, she walks up to the gate and punches in 1288 and then the * key and when she gets into the house she punches in 1288 and then the # key. Presumably "*" disarmed the alarm, and "#" re-armed it.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: In the final fight between Sidney and the killer, she stabs him in the back with an ice pick. Then she picks up his knife, but only to throw it out of reach. She can be seen removing the ice pick before stabbing him with it a second time.

  • Continuity: When Sarah Darling is at Sunrise Studios while the office is empty, she is looking for the director of Stab 3, Roman Bridger. However when she looks into one of the office rooms, you can clearly hear her say, "Ronan," instead of, "Roman."

  • Continuity: When Dewey first gets his gun out of the trailer, you can clearly see it's a Beretta 92-Compact in a black holster. But throughout the rest of the movie he uses a heavy duty snub (.44?) Revolver in a brown holster.

  • Continuity: Roman Bridger's sideburns shorten and lengthen in the final scenes.

  • Continuity: On the hot set of Sidney's room the table has its longest side flat against the wall with the bed. When Ghostface is thrown from the false door above the set, the table's rotated with its shortest edge against the wall with the bed. This was done so the bed was closer, so the killer could actually land on it.

  • Continuity: When the killer calls Sidney while she is at the police station, the word, "Nokia" is visible on the bottom of the phone. In the next scene it disappears, and then reappears in a later scene.

  • Continuity: When Dewey unties Gale she lifts her and up and we see rope on her hand. In the next shot the rope is gone.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When the killer chases Sidney through the set, she opens a door that leads to nowhere and climbs to the side of the set out of view of the camera. The killer would have known the door goes to nowhere; that wouldn't stop him/her from opening it, and the fall was because Sidney pulled the killer's shirt.

  • Continuity: When Sidney jumps out of the window in the Sunrise Studios, and Dewey comes to her, there's a point where she is looking down, and the camera angle changes to show her looking right at Dewey.

  • Continuity: When Gale reaches for the voice changer, she has blood on the top of her hand. When she puts the voice changer to her mouth, there is no blood.

  • Factual errors: When Cotton is on two lines at the beginning of the film, he puts his portable phone on hold. The brand of cell phone he is using doesn't have a "hold" feature.

  • Continuity: When Sidney goes through the door that leads to nowhere, she holds on and grips the wall frame. She could not have closed the door from her location because it was almost fully open and out of reach (though some viewers have claimed she could have used her foot).

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Jennifer says she is next to die in the script of Stab 3, which Dewey confirms. However, when Jennifer is about to be murdered, she says "You can't kill me, I'm the killer in Stab 3." She's saying anything to get the killer to stop; in addition, there were three versions of the script, and she might have been the killer in one of them. Alternatively, she may have been the killer but "died" in the same way that Billy Loomis "died" in the first film.

  • Continuity: Christine gets out of the shower and steps on the towel, but when she gets dressed and starts to walk down the hallway, her feet are still soaking wet.

Continuity: In the opening scene when Cotton is murdered, the room he and Christine are in clearly has a skylight in the ceiling. But once Cotton is thrown over the desk and looking up at the killer, there is no such sky light. (This come from the fact two different opening scenes where shot and the end of the scene when Cotton is looking up at the killer took place in an entirely different room.)

Continuity: Sidney is wearing black, high-heeled boots in the middle section of the film, but does not appear to be wearing them while waiting in the police station later in the film when the killer calls her. However, in the last part of the film, when Sidney arrives at the house, she is wearing boots again as she can be seen pulling not one but two guns from them.

Continuity: Shape of the cuts on Dewey's forehead throughout the film.

Revealing mistakes: Gail gives the gun back to Dewey twice. Once in the hallway and then again in the bedroom.

Continuity: There is blood on Roman's elbow when Gale approaches the coffin in the basement. But it disappears when Gale lifts the coffin lid.

Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double for Dewey when he falls down the stairs after the killer throws the knife at him

  • Revealing mistakes: When Sydney is in the police station, she's on the phone with the killer on a cell phone. When the killer hangs up, you can hear a dial tone. You wouldn't be able to hear a dial tone on a cell phone.

Continuity: When Jennifer uses her card to gain access to the Sunrise Studio Archives she clearly swipes her card the wrong way.

  • Continuity: The billboards and banner in Cotton's home indicate that "100% Cotton comes on at 3:30 PM". When Cotton comes home from the traffic jam, 100% Cotton is on the television. Yet it's pitch black outside.

  • Continuity: SPOILER: When Sidney stabs the killer in the back with the ice pick she leaves it in him the second time as he falls. She than visibly grabs the knife he was carrying but when she stabs him in the heart to kill him, it's with the ice pick, not the knife.

The final Scream is going to be the loudest!

The Third and Final chapter in the trilogy that made you laugh, and made you Scream.

The millennium starts screaming.

The Millennium Starts With Scream

The New Millenium Begins in Panic

In order for Sidney Prescot to survive the future she must look to the past.

Rules of a trilogy: Chapter one sets the rules. Chapter two bends the rules. But in the finale...forget the rules.

Someone has taken their love of trilogies one step too far.

The most terrifying scream is always the last.

Welcome to the final act.

The best Scream is always the last one. Just hope the last one isn't your own.

There's just some secrets you can't reveal 'till the very end.

Scream 3: The scare of the millennium!

The last Scream is always the scariest.

Obey The Rules Of The Trilogy... Or Die.

Alternate Versions

  • A scene between Sidney (Neve Campbell) and Tyson (Deon Richmond) was cut out of the film for pacing. It reportedly involved the two talking about the similarities between an "I Know What You Did Last Summer"-ish flick Tyson was describing out of the pages of the Hollywood Reporter to Stab III.

  • R1 DVD includes an alternative ending and some deleted/alternative scenes:

    • Two different versions of Cotton Weary's pre-title sequence;

    • A scene taking place on the Stab 3 set, where we see the crew sitting together and talking with Dewey;

    • A scene showing Jenny McCarthy talking with a security guard for Sunrise Studios.

    • The alternate ending to the film involves Sydney hiding from the killer, while preparing to strike at the right moment. Only the beginning and end of the two endings are different.

  • The Showtime premiere uses the same sort of thing as "Scream," having a freeze frame for the more violent scenes.
